Before throwing that old shirt of yours away, cut off the sleeves and give them, on at a time, to your ratties to play with and sleep on. Throw the shirt sleeve away when you clean the cage and give the ratties another piece of old clothing. Cut a piece about the size of a hand towel for them. Do not give the ratties anything you want back. They will chew it and shred it to pieces.
